Office Complexes : Corporate Center in Anaheim Completed

The Crescent Corporate Center has been completed in Anaheim by Lincoln Property Co. in partnership with Aetna Life Insurance Co.

Six structures totaling more than 210,000 square feet have been completed at a cost of more than $20 million on the 20-acre site on the southwest corner of Crescent Avenue at Muller Street. Coldwell Banker is handling the leasing of four research-and-development buildings.

Construction Starts

Construction is under way on the $60-million Nexus Financial Center in Orange at Town & Country and Parker avenues.

The 315,000-square-foot corporate office project is being developed by Nexus Development Corp.’s Newport Beach-based Central Division as a single phase and is due to be completed in the fall. Nexus is owner/developer and general contractor for the center and is also handling on-site leasing.

Plaza Ready to Occupy

The $10-million, 56,500-square-foot Summit Office Plaza has been completed in Laguna Hills and is ready for occupancy, according to Cushman & Wakefield of California Inc., exclusive leasing and sales agent.

Situated on a hill overlooking the Saddleback Valley at 23272 and 23282 Mill Creek Road, the twin three-story buildings designed by Focus Architecture were developed by L. E. Nelson Co. in joint venture with Weyerhaeuser Venture Co.

Work Finished

The $2.85-million, three-story Dewitt Office Building has been completed by Nielsen Construction Co. in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego on Clairmont Mesa Boulevard.

Dewitt Transfer & Storage Co. is owner/developer of the 36,277-square-foot structure, designed by H. C. H. & Associates of San Diego. John Burnham & Co. is handling leasing.

Tenants Take Space

Construction has been completed, and the first tenants have occupied the Bell Savings building, a $13-million, six-story professional office building at 1011 Camino del Rio South in Mission Valley.

A project of Nexus Development Corp.’s Southern Division, the 64,528-square-foot building already houses Bell Savings & Loan Assn., Associated Insurance Agency and La Jolla-based Nexus’ Southern Division marketing and construction personnel. Nexus is lessor and builder/owner of the structure. Nielsen Construction Co. was general contractor.

Final Phase Done

The $2-million, seven-building third and final phase of Bayview Commerce Center in Chula Vista at Bay Boulevard and Palomar Street has been completed, according to Inland Industries, owners.

Phase 2 Planned

The second phase of an $8-million office complex being developed by Pedersen Enterprises Inc. in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego, near the intersection of Scranton Road and Morehouse Drive, is expected to get under way this year.

Phase 1--a four-story, 44,000-square-foot building--was completed in November and is 75% leased. Phase 2 will be a three-story, 27,000-square-foot building. Grubb & Ellis Commercial Brokerage Services is exclusive agent.

Twin Structures Rising

Canyon Plaza, a development of twin four-story office buildings in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego, is under way with completion scheduled by the end of this year.

Snyder-Langston Inc. is building the structures, which are a joint venture of McLachlan Investment Co. and Cal Fed Enterprises. Costs for the total 173,000-square-foot project are expected to exceed $25 million.
