The British luxury liner Queen Elizabeth 2 pulled into Baltimore and was greeted by thousands of boats clogging Chesapeake Bay to watch what is called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Press officer Gordon Gushee said that most of the more than 1,000 crew members were awed by the reception. The 963-foot ship offers passengers accommodations that include a health spa and gourmet cuisine during a transatlantic crossing or a Caribbean cruise with a price tag of up to $11,500 a week.
