Thai marines backed by air strikes launched a major operation to flush out a number of Vietnamese troops who entered Thailand in pursuit of Cambodian guerrillas, a senior Thai officer said. “We are using everything we have” against the intruders, he said of the operation along the Cambodian border. The incursion reportedly involves about 1,000 Vietnamese.
