Electro-Numerics Inc. of Irvine said it has acquired the assets of San Diego-based Zetachron Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

Both closely held companies manufacture electronic digital displays. ENI President Philip Beaudoin said the acquisition will be “instrumental in the continuation and growth of the Zetachron product lines at ENI.”

Zetachron manufactures Raceclock, a digital clock that is used in track and field competitions. Zetachron President William Wood will also join 10-year-old Electro-Numerics.

CompuFund, a computerized loan information service, said it plans to move its corporate headquarters to Santa Ana from Dublin, Calif.

Sigmund Anderman, chairman and chief executive of the 3-year-old firm, said CompuFund will maintain its offices in Dublin as a mortgage banking and franchise regional office, in addition to its regional facility in Dallas.

The company’s new headquarters at the Santa Ana Lake Center Office Park will house a 35-member staff, as well as a major computer site.

General Automation Inc. said it signed an agreement to purchase and install Codercard Inc.’s computer security systems in it computers. The agreement will allow Anaheim-based General Automation to incorporate Codercard’s proprietary computer security systems into its Zebra microcomputer products and into enhancements to GA’s worldwide installed base of more than 33,000 mini-computers.

Codercard Inc. offers computer hardware and software security systems that produce what the company says is a virtually impenetrable barrier against unauthorized access.
