The success of a mobile incinerator in destroying chemical contaminants in soil marks a major breakthrough in hazardous waste cleanup systems, the Environmental Protection Agency said. The incinerator successfully completed a six-week test at the dioxin-contaminated Denney Farm site near the southwest Missouri community of Verona in April. After evaluation, EPA official Bernard Goldstein said: “It’s come out with flying colors.”
