Law and Order

The silence from the “law and order” crowd is deafening. A cop commits in excess of 100 burglaries, is allowed to choose the judge (an ex-cop) who sentences him and winds up with zero jail time.

Where are all those shrill voices complaining about judges who are “soft”? The cop is quoted as saying that he is happy that none of the other 12 officers involved went to jail either. It would seem that puts a new construction on the term “to protect and serve.”
