Santa Ana : New City Magazine to Appear in November

Santa Ana Magazine, a glossy publication that will combine all current city publications and contain news items from City Hall, will hit the streets in November.

Dayle Thomas, publisher of similar magazines in Pasadena and Glendale, will put together the new publication, which will be mailed to 90,000 Santa Ana business and residential addresses.

“This magazine will help the City of Santa Ana channel helpful and positive information into a slick, appealing medium,” a staff report to the City Council said; the council approved the plan Monday.

Current publications such as Santa Ana Pride and the City Calendar will be combined in a minimum of 40 pages. Santa Ana Magazine is expected to support itself through advertising revenues and, officials hope, turn a profit.
