A Delaware Chancery Court judge issued a temporary restraining order against Revlon, preventing the health-care and beauty products giant from proceeding with a proposed $1.63-billion takeover deal with the investment banking firm of Forstmann, Little & Co. The order was issued in response to a lawsuit brought by Pantry Pride Inc., a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based supermarkets and retailing company that is seeking to take over Revlon through a hostile bid. A hearing on a permanent injunction is scheduled for Friday.
