Daniel S. Jenkins, accused of the Halloween night killing of Los Angeles Police Detective Thomas C. Williams, who testified against him in a robbery case, has been charged with the July 4 shooting of another witness. Jenkins will be arraigned today for attempted murder in the shooting last year of North Hollywood theater manager George Carpenter, Deputy Dist. Atty. Richard Jenkins said. Daniel Jenkins, 30, and three other men are charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the ambush shooting of Williams in front of a Canoga Park day-care center. Police have said Jenkins was the triggerman. On July 4 Carpenter was critically wounded when he was shot four times as he sat at a bar. He survived, changed his name and moved out of state, returning only to testify against Jenkins, police said.
