40 Die in Bus Plunge

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia —
Forty people were killed and 25 were seriously injured Friday when a bus plunged into a ravine 30 miles from Harar in eastern Ethiopia, the official Ethiopian News Agency reported Saturday. The bus was carrying pilgrims to the festival of St. Gabriel at Kulubi, in the mountainous Hararghe region, one of the most revered shrines of the Ethiopian Orthodox faith.
