Bill Becker, former assistant general manager of the Southeast Regional Reclamation Authority, has been named general manager of the sewage treatment agency, officials said.

Becker succeeds Bill Sukenik, who resigned last March, board chairman Lloyd Woerner said.

The authority’s plant in Dana Point operates under a six-agency joint powers agreement handling waste water for 135,000 south county customers.

Member agencies are the Santa Margarita Water District of Mission Viejo and Rancho Mission Viejo; Moulton Niguel Water District covering Laguna Niguel and part of Mission Viejo; Dana Point Sanitary District; Capistrano Beach Sanitary District, and the cities of San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente.
