Tar Heroin, Cocaine Seized in South Gate, Two Suspects Held
Two suspected drug dealers were arrested in South Gate and 40 grams of tar heroin were confiscated, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said Thursday.
Jorge Beltran, 24, and Josefina Garcia, 25, were arrested at a home in the 3800 block of Ardmore Avenue, booked on suspicion of narcotics for sale and held in lieu of $100,000 bail each, deputies said.
Along with the 40 grams of tar heroin, an especially potent form of the drug, investigators also seized just under five pounds of cocaine, nearly seven pounds of marijuana and $33,719 in cash.
