Sony’s Chief Is Right

Akio Morita is 200% right (“Sony Chief Says U.S. Firms Need to Take Longer View,” Nov. 1). Greed is destroying the U.S. industrial base.

Morita is right--U.S. workers are very good. Yet the managers blame everything on labor. Labor only does what it is told and generally gets the shaft when it suggests how to improve the product.

Takeovers do not produce anything but more money for the takeover people, who are destroying the country with their greed.

Soon the United States will be one big low-paying service economy.
