Comarco to Purchase Circuit Board Maker

Comarco Inc. said it will acquire Automated Design Centers Inc. of Los Angeles for a publicly undisclosed amount of preferred stock. The Anaheim-based defense contractor said the transaction will close when Automated Design Centers meets certain financial-performance and debt-structure objectives for the first half of its fiscal year ending July 31.

Automated Design centers is a designer of printed circuit boards with annual revenues of about $3 million.

For the fiscal first half, Comarco reported record results, with net earnings climbing 24% to $1.1 million from $883,000 a year earlier.
