Condoms

Peter H. King’s article (Feb. 28), “AIDS Scare--Condoms Go to Front of the Market,” concerns an issue that has long been ignored by the media. It’s too bad that it took a deadly disease to finally bring the issue of condoms to the attention of the media.

People should be educated about condoms whether or not they will stop a deadly disease. Maybe if the media also stressed other forms of birth control besides condoms the number of abortions wouldn’t be so high among the youth.

The conservative American view that sex should be discussed behind closed doors has long since passed and the issue of birth control should go hand-in-hand with premarital sex.
