Local News in Brief : Victims of Chatsworth Double Slaying Named
Ahusband and wife who died in an apparent murder-suicide Sunday outside their Chatsworth mobile home have been identified as Dennis and Betty Bernard, Los Angeles police said Tuesday.
Dennis Bernard, 33, shot his wife, 53, three times before turning his .44 magnum handgun on himself, Lt. Rick Violano said.
The shooting occurred after a family argument, Violano said. A “let’s get back together” card, written from Betty Bernard to her husband, was found on a living room coffee table, police said.
