Martinez Makes the Day

I wish to heartily echo the words of praise by Elaine McConnell (Letters, March 12) for Al Martinez and his columns.

My friends and I have admired his writing since he first appeared. Our only regret is that his column appears only twice weekly. We would like to have him more often, as he makes the day for us.
