Michael K. Deaver, President Reagan’s former aide, has resigned from the board of the Reagan presidential library foundation because of his legal problems, foundation officials said. Deaver, who is awaiting trial on perjury charges related to his lobbying activities after he left the White House, was a chief fund-raiser for the foundation, which hopes to collect $80 million for establishment of the library at Stanford University.

Publishing magnate Walter H. Annenberg and Hollywood executive Lew R. Wasserman, friends of the President, were named to replace Deaver.
