CMS Enhancements Inc., a Tustin maker of add-on products for IBM and Apple personal computers, said it has signed a one-year distribution agreement with Micro D Inc. of Santa Ana, one of the nation’s largest wholesalers of personal computer equipment.

CMS placed the value of the one-year deal at more than $9 million.

Under terms of the agreement, which is effective immediately, Micro D Inc. will handle selected models of CMS’ data storage and board-level products, including both internal and external hard disk drives for IBM-compatible and Apple computers.

Jim Farooquee, CMS president, said the new distribution agreement represents another step in the company’s rapid growth. In the last 3 1/2 years, the company has grown from a start-up into a business that is currently generating sales at the rate of about $90 million per year.
