Joseph A. Gallagher III, formerly president of the San Diego division of Covington Homes, has been named president of the Southern California division of Leisure Technology Inc. Gallagher will be responsible for housing operations in San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

Sarah Rose Donovan has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing for The Village of Heritage, a $1-billion master-planned community in west Fontana. In her new post with Fontana Heritage West End Associates, developer of the project, Donovan will direct its development and implementation.

Thomas Reed Vreeland has been named an associate of Albert C. Martin & Associates. Vreeland has been the recipient of several awards, including a design award for the World Savings office in Santa Ana, and the 1986 Distinguished Architecture Award in Education, American Institute of Architects, Los Angeles chapter.

Daniel Zornizer, senior associate with the Los Angeles office of Gensler & Associates/Architects, has received the Building Owners and Management Assn.’s President’s Award. Zornizer was elected to a third term as chairman of the BOMA committee on government codes and regulations.

Carl Grossman has been appointed president of Dominion Construction’s United States office in Orange. Grossman’s responsibilities include hiring, training and general administration for the California operation.

Stephen L. Elliott has been promoted to president and chief executive officer for the Irvine Consulting Group Inc.; Jess Johannsen, business development representative for Highland Soils Engineering Inc. and Highland Testing Laboratory Inc., subsidiaries of the Irvine Consulting Group Inc., is the new president of the Business Development Assn. of the Inland Empire.

Lynn L. Jacobs has been appointed president of Affordable Communities Inc., Ventura. Jacobs served as project manager at Ramos/Jensen Co. and is president of the American Cancer Society of Ventura County.

Gordon R. Carrier has been promoted to executive vice president of Buss Silvers Hughes & Associates, San Diego.

Frank J. Gootrad has been promoted to vice president of sales and merchandising for the Lusk Co., Irvine. He formerly was affiliated with Broadmoor Homes and Shapell Industries of Northern California.

Paul Horn has joined Chaix & Johnson International as project manager responsible for store and space planning, project management and client development. Rod Hirano has been named supervisor of construction and specification.

Gary L. Collister has been promoted to vice president of Wells Fargo Realty Finance, Santa Monica. Collister, formerly assistant vice president, has been with the firm since 1984. Prior to joining the company, he was affiliated with Ashwill-Burke, Los Angeles, and Industrial Commercial Properties, Long Beach.

The following appointments have been announced by Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services: Jon A. Torgeson, vice president and national director of marketing-office building properties, Los Angeles; James E. Munson, resident manager, Ventura County, and Richard W. Chichester, sales manager, Riverside. Alan J. Beaudette has been named national marketing director-industrial properties for Coldwell Banker Commercial Group Inc.

Chris Colbert, formerly with Coldwell Banker in Ventura, has been named manager of Lincoln Property Co., Sherman Oaks.

Maralee Cass Sanserino, formerly with Chiat/Day Inc. Advertising, has joined United Business Interiors, Los Angeles, as marketing director.

Peter C. Alexander, formerly vice president of operations for American Retirement Villas Corp., Costa Mesa, has been promoted to vice president/strategic planning.

Robert E. Brotherton, formerly with Kingsman Industries Inc., Denver, has been named director of marketing for Krommenhoek/McKeown & Associates, Oceanside.

Kenneth N. Perry has been named assistant industrial relations director, Southern California, for Associated General Contractors of California. Perry served with Fluor Constructors Inc.

Kenneth Boehling has been appointed vice president of project management for Saffell & McAdam Inc., Irvine.

Steve Goldsmid and Simon L. Bialobroda have been named associates for Delawie/Bretton/Wilkes Associates AIA, San Diego.

Robert L. Wund has been promoted to manager of Turner Construction Co.; Charles T. White has been named manager of business development, and David M. Seastrom has been promoted to business development engineer.

Carl F. Meyer has been appointed associate of Altoon & Porter Architects responsible for coordination of major architectural projects.

Steve Albers, president of Albers & Albers Inc., Fullerton, has been named chairman of the 1987 MIRM Awards program of the Institute of Residential Marketing of the National Assn. of Home Builders, to be held at the group’s convention in Dallas in January.
