A single-engine plane carrying four people crashed into an unoccupied house in East San Jose, killing two passengers and sending the other two to a hospital with serious burns, police said. A spokesman for Reid-Hillview Airport said the plane was coming in from the southeast and was about a half-mile from landing when the pilot reported low oil pressure. After two unsuccessful approaches, the spokesman said, the engine cut out and the plane crashed into the house near the runway, bursting into flames. The pilot and a front seat passenger survived with burns over 85% of their bodies, a police spokeswoman said.
