UCSB Rallies to Beat Loyola Women, 58-43

Poor-shooting Loyola Marymount University fell apart in the second half Saturday night, as UC Santa Barbara rallied for a 58-43 win in a non-conference women’s basketball game at LMU.

Loyola (5-2), which led 24-14 late in the first half, made only 13 of 70 field goal attempts and was a dismal 6 for 36 in the second half.

UCSB (3-1), which outscored Loyola 36-19 in the second half, was led by center Kara Anthofer with game highs of 20 points and 21 rebounds.

Freshman guard Lynn Flanagan led Loyola with 13 points and center Tricia Gibson had 10 rebounds.
