Student Loans

Share

Why do college students extend themselves to the hilt to finance their educations? This is not necessary--especially when they never really intend to pay the loans back anyway. Placing the blame on rising tuition costs is stupid, lame and unfair.

I am a college graduate and had a guaranteed student loan for $1,800 and a National Direct Student Loan for $900. My loan amounts are small because I also had work-study, a part-time job and several small scholarships which really added up. And I went to a junior college for two years before transferring to a private college. See, it can be done if you use the brains God gave you and don’t make a bee-line for the handouts.

Yes, I have repaid both loans--and early, too.
