Campbell Cited for Social Security Writing
Social Security National Commissioner Dorcas R. Hardy will present the Social Security Administration Public Service Award, the agency’s highest public award, to Times Staff Writer Don Campbell on Friday in Los Angeles.
Campbell, whose Consumer Views column appears on Thursdays in the View section, was cited for his “unparalleled contribution to public awareness and understanding of Social Security program provisions and services” and for writing on a difficult and misunderstood subject with clarity, compassion and humor.
