James T. Mills has announced that he will retire this year as president and chief executive of the Conference Board, a nonprofit business research group. He will be 65 in November. Conference Board Chairman James L. Ferguson has appointed a three-member selection committee comprised of board trustees.
Mills joined the Conference Board in December, 1981. Previously, he was chairman and chief executive of the Sperry & Hutchinson Co.
