Share

California was last year’s top choice for companies locating and expanding facilities, according to the Atlanta-based Industrial Development Research Council.

About 300 companies chose California, with Texas in second place, attracting 263. In 1986, California was third, trailing Florida and Illinois.

Criteria for the survey included facilities with at least 50,000 square feet, or an investment of more than $1 million, or 50 or more employees.
