The Semiconductor Industry Assn. and the Electronic Industry Assn. of Japan, after a two-day meeting in Monterey, Calif., agreed on steps to foster international cooperation on semiconductor issues. They plan to sponsor an international conference in October; develop more accurate statistics programs, and identify new product applications and emerging market trends.
