Daryle G. Johnson has been named senior vice president of pension investment services at Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Co., with responsibility for all the company’s guaranteed and managed investment products distributed to the U.S. market. Johnson, who has spent 31 years with Newport Beach-based Pacific Mutual, will guide the pension investment area after the May 31 retirement of William Cunningham. Separately, the company said Ignacio E. Lozano Jr. has joined the board of directors. With the addition of Lozano, the board now has 16 members. Lozano is editor-in-chief of La Opinion, a Spanish-language newspaper with a circulation of 68,400. Pacific Mutual also named Robert G. Haskell second vice president and director of corporate and public affairs, and R. Lee Wirthlin second vice president of tax and support services.
