Two Israeli soldiers were sentenced to prison for burying four Palestinians alive in an occupied West Bank village, an army spokesman said. A military court in Jaffa, Israel, said the incident in Kfar Salem, near Nablus, last month “dishonored the army and portrayed the state of Israel in a negative light,” the Israeli news agency ITIM reported. The four Palestinians were forced to lie on the ground, and troops ordered that a bulldozer cover them with dirt. Villagers dug out the men, at least two of whom were unconscious. The court ordered Pvt. Yair Nissimi jailed for 5 months with 7 months’ probation and Pvt. Dror Segan-Cohen for 4 months with 6 months’ probation.
