Pfizer Inc. said its earnings rose 14% to $219.8 million for its first quarter, compared to $192 million for the year-ago period. Worldwide pharmaceutical sales increased 16%, led by a 33% increase in sales of Feldene, Pfizer’s anti-arthritic medicine, with gains in all of its other major areas of therapeutic drugs, the company said.
