An 11-month-old baby died Friday at Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he had been taken by Life Flight paramedics after he was found in the family swimming pool in Jamul.
A San Diego County coroner’s office spokesman said William Thomas Mayers was found floating in the pool by his grandmother shortly before 9 a.m. She attempted to revive him with cardiopulmonary resuscitation before help arrived, but he died about an hour and a half later at the hospital, a deputy coroner said.
