Manute Bol of the Golden State Warriors was charged with driving while intoxicated, assault and battery and resisting arrest after an early morning scuffle with Maryland State Police near New Carrollton, Md. He was stopped about 5:20 a.m. when an officer observed him driving in a suspicious manner.
The 7-foot 7-inch center, a native of the Sudan who lives in Bowie, Md., was taken before a District Court commissioner and released on his own recognizance.
