Local News in Brief : Gunman Robs Bullock’s
An armed man wearing dark glasses, a cap and a Los Angeles Lakers T-shirt made off with between $20,000 and $40,000 Sunday afternoon when he held up a credit clerk at the Bullock’s department store in Rolling Hills Estates.
The gunman leaped over the counter, pointed a handgun at clerk Cheryl Baczkowski and demanded money from a safe that was open, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Don Williams.
The clerk put the money in a Bullock’s shopping bag for the man, who then tied her up and fled the store in the Courtyard Mall at 520 Deep Valley Drive.
Baczkowski was not injured, and Williams said the exact amount of money taken has not been determined.
