Local News in Brief : Santa Ana : Park Shooting Victim Remains Hospitalized
A Santa Ana man remained hospitalized in stable condition Tuesday, recovering from a gang-related shooting that occurred Sunday evening.
Martine Ambriez, 23, received several gunshot wounds while riding in a car about 10 p.m. Sunday through Santa Ana’s Centennial Regional Park.
Police said Ambriez and the driver, Aburto Olympo, 18, got into an argument with a group of gang members, who apparently began shooting at the car.
Olympo, also of Santa Ana, was killed in the shooting, and two bystanders were injured.
Police still have no suspects in the shooting.
To protect Ambriez, police withheld the name of the hospital where he was taken.
