Castle & Cooke Inc.’s net income increased 8% to $37.6 million for the second quarter from last year. Revenue totaled $601 million, up 28%. The Los Angeles-based holding company for Dole Food Co. and Oceanic Properties credited the results to higher sales in established product lines as well as sales from businesses acquired in late 1987.
