Tosco Corp. said second-quarter earnings jumped to $36.8 million from $10.7 million a year ago. Revenue climbed to $327.4 million from $300.5 million. The Santa Monica-based independent oil refiner and marketer attributed the gains primarily to improved refined product profit margins that resulted from low domestic gasoline inventories.
