Is the national press bashing Republican vice presidential candidate Dan Quayle or treating him fairly? KNX Newsradio, the L.A. affiliate of CBS Radio, took an informal poll on that very subject Wednesday morning from 5 to 10. The results? An overwhelming majority of KNX listeners--85.8%--thought Quayle was being treated unfairly, while only 14.2% thought the journalistic scrutiny was justified and fair. KNX executive news producer Roger Nadel said Wednesday that the percentages were consistent from hour to hour, and that most of the callers already had their minds made up on l’affaire Quayle.
