Latin Policy Protest Draws Flag Burning Conviction

ST. PAUL, Minn. —
A federal jury on Wednesday convicted a man of burning an American flag during a March 18 demonstration against U.S. military involvement in Central America. William Carey Jr., 22, of Minneapolis, faces up to one year in a federal prison. No date was set for sentencing in U.S. District Court.
