Heavy Rains in Mexico

MEXICO CITY —
Heavy rains during the last week caused flooding in six Mexican states, forcing 112,000 people to evacuate their homes, the government newspaper El Nacional reported Wednesday.
The worst hit was the state of Nayarit, in the northwest, where a state of emergency was declared and the army called in to help evacuate about 70,000 people.
