San Diego Police have arrested two 17-year-old boys in connection with the robberies of automated-teller-machine patrons.

The two, both from the Skyline area, were arrested at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday by officers who noticed a vehicle that matched the description of the one used by the robbers Tuesday night, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.

The two were stopped in the 4200 block of 34th Street on Thursday, allegedly after casing an ATM at Felton Street and El Cajon Boulevard, Robinson said.

Two men walking home Tuesday after using the same ATM reported being robbed at gunpoint. A short time earlier, a man reported being robbed at gunpoint by two men while attempting to use an ATM in the 6800 block of El Cajon Boulevard, about 5 miles from the site of the second robbery.

Small amounts of cash were taken in both robberies, Robinson said.

He said the youths had a loaded gun when arrested. They were being held at Juvenile Hall.
