Today Last Day to Register to Vote in Nov. 8 Election

Today is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 8 presidential election.

Eight locations throughout the county, including the county registrar of voters office in Kearny Mesa and the San Diego city clerk’s office at City Hall, will be open until midnight to accept last-minute registrations.

New U. S. citizens and people who will be 18 years old by Nov. 8 must register in order to vote in next month’s election. In addition, individuals who have changed their address since they last voted or who want to change their political party affiliation must re-register.

The places where people can register until midnight include:

- County registrar of voter’s office, 5201 Ruffin Road.

- San Diego city clerk’s office, 202 C St.

- El Cajon Police Department, 100 Fletcher Parkway.

- Escondido Fire Department, 310 North Quince St.

- La Mesa Police Department, 8181 Allison Ave.

- National City city clerk’s office, 1243 National City Blvd.

- Oceanside Police Department, 1617 Mission Ave.

- Santee city clerk’s office, 10765 Woodside Ave.
