Maxicare Health Plans Inc. of Los Angeles has signed a letter of intent to sell its Maxicare Washington Inc. subsidiary to Network Management Inc. Maxicare said it does not anticipate receiving substantial cash proceeds from the sale, which is expected to close later this month after receiving necessary approval. Maxicare Washington is a 17,500-member health maintenance organization based in Seattle. Network Management provides health-care administration and management services for more than 55,000 individuals in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
