Local News in Brief : Cable Board Needs Volunteers
The city of Lawndale is accepting applications for volunteers to serve on the board of directors of the Lawndale Cable Usage Corp. The nonprofit agency allocates funds provided by Paragon Cable to develop local programming of the city’s cable television system. The deadline for applications is Nov. 28.
The 4-year terms are open to applicants 18 or older. Information is available at City Hall, 14717 Burin Ave.
