Firefighters Battle Hotel Blaze

Fire broke out today in the attic and rooftop of a hotel near MacArthur Park, authorities said, but residents were believed to have been safely evacuated.
About 100 firefighters battled the fire, which was reported at 10:54 a.m. in the eight-story Ferraro Hotel, a halfway house for parolees, at 2065 W. Sixth St., a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said. One fireman was injured.
