Local News in Brief : Westminster : 2 Killed, 1 Injured in Vehicle Collision
Two people were killed and another person was seriously injured Sunday night in the collision of a van and a sports car at the intersection of Trask Avenue and Jefferson Street, police said.
The collision occurred about 9:15 p.m. A witness said the two people killed were riding in the van. The injured person was in a Thunderbird sports car.
The identities of the victims were not immediately available, and police late Sunday night said they had no information about how the accident occurred.
The intersection is on the border of Westminster and Garden Grove, and police from both cities responded to the accident. Officers said it was later determined that the accident took place on the Westminster side.
