The Rams on Monday signed free-agent linebacker Wayne Davis, who was left unprotected by the Phoenix Cardinals.
Davis, 24, was the Cardinals’ ninth-round selection out of Alabama in the 1987 draft.
Davis, 6-foot-1 and 213 pounds, played in 16 games for the Cardinals last season. He made 18 tackles.
In 1987, Davis played in 12 games. He started one game, against the Rams, and made five tackles. He also had a career-high eight tackles against Tampa Bay.
At Alabama, Davis was second on the team in tackles with 85 as a senior.
