Placentia : School Trustee Resigns; Applicants Being Sought
Stacy Holland, a trustee of the Placentia Unified School District, announced that she is resigning her position effective May 23 because her husband is being transferred to Illinois.
Holland, a resident of Placentia for 9 years, was elected to her second term in November.
Supt. Jim Fleming said the school board decided at its last meeting to make a provisional appointment to fill the vacancy instead of holding a special election. Both are legal options.
Applications will be accepted until May 12, and a final decision on the new board member may be announced as early as May 23, Fleming said.
