Share

David Dellinger, a defendant tried as one of the Chicago Seven, will be among the featured speakers at a peace and social justice festival at Chapman College today.

Dellinger will speak about activism and social change in the next decade. A longtime peace activist, he was tried along with others known as the Chicago Seven, including Jerry Rubin and the late Abbie Hoffman, for inciting a riot at the 1968 Democratic National Convention.

Cleared of the charges, Dellinger later became an author of books and magazine articles about the anti-war movement of the 1960s and nonviolent protest.
