U.S. Urges Cuban Restraint in Firing on Drug Flights
The State Department today urged the Cuban government to take “all necessary precautions” in its plan to stem drug trafficking by shooting down planes that refuse to land for inspection.

Cuban authorities announced the plan Saturday after arresting a highly decorated general and nine other military officers on charges of accepting bribes from drug traffickers.
