Transport Chief Named

WASHINGTON —
Air Force Lt. Gen. Hansford Johnson has been nominated for commander in chief of the U.S. Transportation Command, which provides for the movement of all American forces, the Pentagon announced Thursday. Johnson, 53, will replace Air Force Gen. Duane Cassidy, 55.
